Now It Feels Official!

One of the major truths about webcomics is that the best ones often run late. Goblins! has a Saturday update schedule and usually updates around Tuesday. The Order of the Stick usually updates before midnight on the proper day...but not always (and consistency was pretty bad last year.) Even some of the more stable comics I read (PvP and Dandy and Company), have been late within the past couple of weeks.

I'll bet you can guess what today's post is about!

Playing Dice is late this week. While in many industries this would be a sign of failure, I prefer to see this as taking our place as a true webcomic.

Joking aside, I know that many of you know Scott or I personally. In case we have any fans out there who don't, I will explain briefly why the comic isn't up today.

Scott's currently pursuing a Master's in Physics and is working on his thesis. That's a lot on the plate anyway, but it's hardly his only obligation. I'm a Civil Engineering student who is finishing my sophomore year. Right now I'm trying to maintain my GPA, write a novel, and run a weekly D&D campaign. Between the two of us we're pretty busy. Playing Dice is something we both love doing, but it's simply not something we can invest time in at the cost of forsaking all else. (For example, I wouldn't relish explaining to my Fluids professor that a nameless fictional monk had proven more important than his class...)

That said, we're still working on the comic. Given the time of year (final exams and all that), we'll be posting late...but at least that puts us in good company.

Happy reading!
