...But they won't get here until next week.
The set-up for the coming battle has dragged on a bit longer than I like, a fact that I attribute to working at a pace of one strip per week. When I plan out scenes in my head, even as I break them down into managable-sized updates, I have trouble realizing exactly how much time it'll take to post them all. "One week between updates" sounds remarkably reasonable in my mind, and somehow manages to be much less reasonable in its execution.
That said, I think there's a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks. We will start the conflict with the orcs next week. As that scene progresses (it'll take a few weeks to get through all the excitement) there will be action and combat and perhaps an unexpected twist or two. Then, after we've weathered that particular storm we'll close out this first chapter.
So, enjoy today's artistic goodness and the nice shot of our heroes ready for their first big challenge. And remember to come back next week...for orcs.
